CALMAC Joins U.S. Regenerative Network as a Founding Member

Thermal energy storage leader commits to continuous sustainability improvement

Fair Lawn, N.J. – May 20, 2010 – CALMAC is proud to announce its participation in the U.S. Regenerative Network. As a founding member, CALMAC brings thermal energy storage expertise to an organization dedicated to promoting green building through a consortium of industry leaders.

“CALMAC is honored to be a founding member of such a forward-thinking organization dedicated to advancing the best green building practices,” said Mark MacCracken, CEO of CALMAC and Chair-elect, USGBC. “We look forward to learning how CALMAC can become a better sustainable corporate citizen, as well as educating design professionals about the importance of thermal energy storage for reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.”

The U.S. Regenerative Network has two goals; to help members measure, goal-set and improve their organizational sustainability, and to bring members to the green building marketplace of design professionals and buyers.

The U.S. Regenerative Network, led by USGBC founder David Gottfried, held its inaugural forum in Berkeley, California on April 28 and 29. This inaugural forum brought together founding members with leading real estate portfolio owners and architecture, engineering, and construction professionals to share best practices and discuss cutting-edge green products and services that can advance building performance.

“The collaborative model will be the key to success in the 21st century and will enable us to be here in the 22nd,” said Gottfried, the Network’s founder and CEO. “Our goal is to promote green building as the viable option that it is for the future of our planet.”
