System Supply Temperature
The temperature of the coolant delivered to the load during the day-time, non-ice-making period.

System Return Temperature
The temperature of the coolant returning from the load during the peak load hour. The differences between supply and return temperatures for storage systems are often increased above the typical 10ºF.

Number of cooling hours
The number of hours that the building is cooled.

Number of storage charging hours
The number of hours that are available to store cooling. Usually equal to the number of unoccupied hours.

Load Diversity
The average load divided by the peak load.
