The Swarovski U.S. Limited building is currently using 21 ice-storage tanks. This thermal-storage ice system, along with its associated load shifting, actually saved $100,000 in electric cost during the first full year of operation. The system employs a unique rooftop retrofit concept pioneered by Calmac.
